Incredibly detail-oriented, beautifully decorated store with fantastic coffee! My new favorite coffee shop! Will try the matcha tomorrow! Thank you for the great coffee and a nice view from the terrace.
"If we make it back to the real world, I'll find you again. And fall in love with you again." - Asuna Café LAPIN should be on your list if you're into high quality Matcha, Teas, & Coffee. Located on the 3rd floor of the 808 building on Sheridan is a perfect choice to catch up with those you care about. And if you're craving sweets or a savory bite, CakeM is part of this shared space! Upon entering you'll immediately notice the bright natural lighting and wabisabi ambiance. It reminded me of the kissaten shops I'd frequent in Shimokitazawa. The owners are Japanese and the attention to detail is obvious here. After my friend treated me to Brunch I decided to return the favor and treat her to Matcha drinks where we could enjoy it with our Beignets. Café LAPIN was hopping, however the energy calm and as we stood in line we perused the menu. I chose Salted Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha and she chose the Lavender Cold Foam Matcha. We sat at the large communal table, but other areas to enjoy your time too, including some cafe tables just outside. The owners are humble and kind here and drinks made carefully and to perfection. We truly enjoyed every delicious sip! In the end, Café LAPIN was a highlight of my day. WiFi included on your stay and find them on IG: @lapin_llc where you'll see my photo;) I truly can't wait to return oh my name is on that Éclair! Fun fact: my Aunty has a house on nearby Cedar street and back in the day this 808 land was a Korean Christian Church I'd pass-by everyday when I lived with her. Aunty still there and 92! Pls follow my adventures IG @eric_travel_guru
This is a lovely café located on the 3rd floor of 808 Center. The charming owner prepares each drink with great care and attention to detail. I had the Salted Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha. (This time, I was kindly offered a smaller size, but the regular size is 16oz.) The subtle bitterness of the matcha, the gentle sweetness of vanilla, and a touch of salt came together in perfect harmony—it was absolutely delicious. The edible flowers on top added a beautiful visual touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. Next time, I’d love to try their toasts too. Thank you for the wonderful drink!
Amazing coffee and wonderful breakfast options. The place is incredibly clean and well decorated. There is also a little balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee with the sun. We got the black sesame seeds toast and the cardamon lemon one and everything was so good! I highly recommend this place! 🌸
Absolutely beautiful little café on the 3rd floor. It is both a coffee shop and a cake place combined in 1 place. I loved the strawberry shortcake and the matcha with foam. I also had the black sesame latte. It’s super yummy. Highly recommend it.
I was trying to find a coffee place to try new coffee, and to unwind for the morning. Luckily, I came across this place through Google! It’s close by to Walmart, so a quick 3-5 minute walk if you’re needing a drink or something small to eat. I definitely recommend as the coffee is good as well as the pastry’s! I’ve gotten Maple Cocoa Cold Foam coffee and the Honey Butter Lemon Toast. The coffee was good and the toast actually surprised me in a good way! It wasn’t sweet and it was very refreshing, as someone who isn’t fond of Honey— I highly recommend it! You can sit inside or sit at the outside seating although very limited seatings. It’s very peaceful as well.
This quickly became my favorite café in the neighborhood. Their matcha latte is hands down the best I had in 2+ months in Honolulu. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. I love that it’s tucked away on the third level of the plaza, slightly hidden from the street, with plenty of shaded outdoor seating. It is a calm, cozy place to take a break.
Cute cafe at the 808 center. Got to enjoy their matcha latte and salted vanilla cold brew coffee which was delicious. Also serves japanese bakery desserts and sandwiches like egg salad and katsu sando. Owner is from Shizuoka Japan. This gives me my Japan vibes which I miss and love dearly. Definitely will be back!
My friend and I were looking for a cafe where we could relax and chat. We decided to go in because we liked the atmosphere of the cafe from the outside. I ordered the Salted Vanilla cold Foam Matcha and the Bolognese Cheese Toast. Both drinks and toast were delicious and perfect for chatting time with friends! The toast tasted nostalgic and warmed my heart. It was so cozy and chatty that I ordered more fruit tarts! Forgot to take the all-important photo! The cakes are not too sweet and tasty! They use properly fresh fruit! This place makes you want to come back again and again.
This café is so cute and has a lovely view of Honolulu from the third floor! It’s hard to find at first, but once you’re there, you’ll find that it’s a beautiful, tastefully decorated, and extremely clean spot. There is an elevator available if needed. I had the salted vanilla matcha latte and I can confidently say that it was the BEST matcha I’ve had on island. It was extremely dark and only slightly sweet (the perfect amount for me). I’ve tried a ton of matchas all over the island, and this one was by far my favorite. It cost $9.16 after tax, which is on the higher end for matcha but is definitely worth it based on the strength of the drink. There were plenty of pastries for sale by the cashier, but I didn’t try any. I’d like to come back soon and get a few (definitely the NY cheesecake, at the very least). Parking is at a very small lot at the back of the building. It is paid valet, unless you’re getting to-go. I definitely want to dine in next time and think it’s worth it to pay for parking. There’s plenty of seating inside, and some outside on the lanai as well. Finally, the owner was very quiet, and he seemed like a sweet man. It’s clear he takes great pride in his business. Thank you so much, and I can’t wait to come back!
